Hello Fellow TCBS Members,
“…So the air was frigid. 10 degrees outside to be exact. We made it there and stood up and played our show the first night. It went pretty well considering all the travel and the 60 degree temperature change from Florida. The next night went even better and the show was on fire. We did not advance to the next round but all who did were very deserving and the winning bands are all Blues Monsters for sure. I am grateful to be a part of the 2024 International Blues Challenge and I know it will lead to bigger and better things in the future, including an expanded audience of fans for the album that is completed and awaiting a release date.”
Congratulations to the winner of our 2023/2024 Regional Blues Challenge: The Kevin McLoughlin Band.
The Treasure Coast Blues Society will be hosting a few fundraisers in the next few months to assist Kevin & The Band to get to Memphis to compete in the INTERNATIONAL BLUES CHALLENGE! In the meantime… feel free to go to the bands website: KMBlues.com and help start supporting Kevin & The Band!
You can check-out their scheduled shows HERE.
Also thank you to all the other competitors in the competition that made this possible! We had some great blues bands such as Artache , Hurricane Hawk and the Invaders, and Single/duo act Ronny Hill.
Our featured youth musicians Miles Hoyt was on the pedal steel guitar. It was a great event at East Ocean Pub.
AND… a big thank you to the judges, and all members & volunteers who helped make this event happen!
