The Gift of Music
The Treasure Coast Blues Society has a musical instrument recycle program called ‘Let Us Play’ where the public donates new & used instruments to the Treasure Coast Blues Society and receives a tax donation receipt if requested. The instruments are then given to children in our community that cannot afford to buy or rent them.
As a result of these instruments being donated, the Treasure Coast Blues Society holds an annual recital. The date. time, and location will be announced shortly. At this recital the students will play their instrument, our professional band will play a few tunes, and then they join together to play a few tunes. A very inspiring event to say the least.
If you wish to receive a donated instrument for your child, a parent or guardian will need to fill out the request form below. The information needed is:
- Student name, age, and instrument requested
- Parent or guardian names
- Family contact information (address, phone & email)
- How many in the immediate family
- Total family income
If we do not have the requested instrument immediately available, we will maintain your request and contact you if that particular instrument becomes available.
TC Blues Society is a non-profit 501c3 organization. The purpose of our society is to promote live music, as well as to help the children in our communities to obtain musical instruments. Another generous program we have is a scholarship program that awards scholarships to Indian River State College students wishing to advance their career in music.
If you know of another child in our area wishing to take advantage of our program, please pass this information on to them. We serve the counties of Port St Lucie, Martin, Indian River, and Okeechobee.
